If I could play Elizabeth and Jacob’s energy on repeat (if that was even a thing), I totally would. These two are the definition of laid-back, fun, and completely themselves, and their wedding at Inspiring Oaks was the perfect reflection of that.
A Spring Ceremony Beneath the Trees
One of my favorite things about Inspiring Oaks is the ceremony space. Nestled beneath the trees, it feels tucked away and intimate while still letting that gorgeous Texas light shine through. Spring had everything looking extra green (thanks to all the rain we got the weeks before 😂), so the whole venue was absolutely thriving.
One of the coolest parts of the ceremony space is how the bride makes her entrance. Elizabeth started at the top of the main building before making her way down the outdoor wooden staircase to meet her dad. From there, they walked down the aisle together, and it made for such a beautiful entrance that everyone could actually watch from a distance before she arrived at the ceremony.
The ceremony itself takes place on a beautiful wooden deck tucked beneath the trees, and the light coming through was just chef’s kiss. It felt so whimsical without even trying. After the “I do’s,” everyone headed over to cocktail hour beneath the trees, which might even be my favorite part of the venue. I don’t know what it is, but there’s just something about everyone mingling outside with the oak trees that feels so relaxing and whimsical.
A Reception That Turned Into One Big Dance Party
Once everyone made their way inside, the celebration officially kicked off. Elizabeth and Jacob chose to have a live band instead of a DJ, and they were soooo good! The dance floor filled up almost immediately, and I don’t think it slowed down once.
One of the things I love about the reception space at Inspiring Oaks is how it opens right up to the outdoor patio. With the big doors open all night, people naturally flowed inside and outside, grabbing a drink and running back in when their favorite song came on. It honestly felt more like the world’s best backyard party than a traditional wedding reception which I loved!
Why I Love Photographing Weddings at Inspiring Oaks
Every time I photograph an Inspiring Oaks wedding, I’m reminded why I love this venue so much. Between the giant oak trees, the open field, the dreamy light pretty much everywhere you turn (a photographer’s dream), and the way the whole property flows from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, it’s such an easy place to celebrate (and photograph!).
Elizabeth and Jacob, thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day. Your wedding was full of laughter, happy tears, the biggest hugs, and one heck of a dance party. It was such a joy getting to celebrate alongside you both, and I hope every time you look through your gallery, you’re taken right back to that perfect spring day.
If you’re planning your own Inspiring Oaks wedding and looking for a photographer who’s all about documenting the real moments—the big ones, the little ones, and everything in between—I would absolutely love to be there.
